Ray Cook at Transit Audio in Toronto is fantastic!
Good rates, great turnaround and excellent quality.

“Gorgeous, startling and sometimes baffling...Toronto's annual festival of experimental media art & cross disciplinary live events remains so stimulating after 20+ years of existence." -- Jason Anderson, EYE WEEKLY

I've used DJ Audio (not DJ Sound) for tons of restoration track negatives and my
own work, and they're great. I know a lot of L.A. independent filmmakers like
NT Audio as well, including a few who are particularly meticulous and exacting.

Chris Millar (Noise & Light) is no longer shooting optical tracks. 40 Frames has
the old Noise & Light equipment. We are preparing to
to offer this service in 2011.

In the meantime, try Gibbs Chapman (Non Productions) in San Francisco, or DJ
Sound or NT Audio in LA.
