[Frameworks] Recommendations for 16mm optical sound

I remember Ray from around '03 and working under a different small business name 
in Toronto.  He had some optical track he gave to Beatriz Flores Gutierrez, who 
shot it for image and made a high-contrast film of Godot's Waiting for Godot.  
Performed in downtown Buffalo in six inches of snow, she did her own sound and 
showed it at Squeeky Wheel when that was still on Elmwood Ave.  But I don't 
think she projected a print with an optical track.

I've used DJ Audio (not DJ Sound) for tons of restoration track negatives and my
own work, and they're great.  I know a lot of L.A. independent filmmakers like
NT Audio as well, including a few who are particularly meticulous and exacting.

Chris Millar (Noise & Light) is no longer shooting optical tracks. 40 Frames has
the old Noise & Light equipment. We are preparing to
to offer this service in 2011.

In the meantime, try Gibbs Chapman (Non Productions) in San Francisco, or DJ
Sound or NT Audio in LA.
