There's no service manual for an SSL-O online, but at www.film-tech.com you can find manuals for both an SNT and an SLII, which likely have similar optical sound systems to the SSL-O.

On quick glance at the manuals, I'm guessing the answer is 'no', that the culprit is a bad bearing and you're SSL is SOL. But you ought to take a more thorough look at the manuals in light of your specific problem...
