In response to this, I should announce Mat's own forthcoming event the day after (Sunday 19th June @ 14.30) at Edinburgh International Film Festival!:
'The Film Bee Collective presents Every Trick in the Book' - Deborah Bower, Mat Fleming and Harriet Plewis

This film consists of every trick from the
1936 manual 'Trick Effects with the Cine Camera' by H.A.V Bulleid. Through
spectral appearances, model disasters, bar brawls and dances with giants noses,
a trio of characters experience their weird psychodramas connected by a thread
of shifting realities manipulated by the amateur film makers ambitions and
desires. The film will be accompanied by live foley sound, as well as a film
made by H.A.V Bulleid himself.

Subject: [Frameworks] Pip Chodorov screening this Saturday 18th Star and	Shadow Cinema

I'm sorry i didn't make the "this week in avant garde film" post
We're very pleased to have Pip come and present some of his films at the Star and Shadow cinema, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK this Saturdaythe 18th

This has been made possible by The Baltic Cenntre for Contemporary Art who have a big (and excellent I would say) Robert Breer Show on (opened last week). During the day (2-5pm) there is a seminar; "Kinetic Colour, Robert Breer and Animation" with talks by Pip, Gary Thomas (Animate), Vicki Bennet (People Like Us) and myself.

Pip's show at the Star and Shadow is in the evening showing Piltzer, Faux Mouvements and Pastrami recordings.
