experimental film tour from North America
curated by Mariya Nikiforova

PRIVATE TERRITORY is a program of films on 16mm and video that originated
in Boston and is traveling to Reykjavik, St. Petersburg, Helsinki and
Stockholm between July 18th and August 19th. Inspired by the curator's
voyage from her current home in Boston to her native home in Saint Petersburg,
the program was collected around the ideas of home, interiority and
self-reflection. In a couple stops along the way, the effort of cultural
exchange will be taken further through collaboration on joint programs with
local curators.
