[Frameworks] audio recorder recomendations?

You can buy a couple cheap models from Zoom that are unimpressive but
inexpensive.,

You can buy a couple models from Tascam that are a good bit more money but
definitely have better analogue electronics.

Then you go up a huge step and you can buy stuff from guys like Zaxcom,
or Sound Devices.  This is the point where you start getting decent grade
preamps where you can afford to be sloppy with gains.

Then there's a step up from that with the Nagra and the Aaton Cantar....

So... it all depends on whether you want to put down $100 or $100,000.
