Portland Hilton Downtown | Saturday, December 1, 2018 | 10am-4pm

Join us for an all-day Community AV Archiving Fair! Independent media
makers, collecting institutions, and community groups in the Portland area
will be invited to bring their challenges, their media objects, and their
data for a day of collaborative problem solving and skill-sharing with the
AMIA community. The fair is organized around a number of “stations,” each
of which will be staffed by AMIA volunteers. Stations will include: Film
Inspection, Analog Inventory Techniques, Digitization, Prioritizing &
Preparing Media for Digitization, Post-digitization File Management &
Storage, Disaster Preparedness & Recovery, and Digital Preservation. This
year, the AV Fair will be held in the AMIA pAVilion on Saturday and open to
everyone in the Portland community. Come for an hour or stay for the whole
day!

How to participate in the AV Fair:

   1.

   Register for the AV Fair during conference registration. Your $10 fee
   will help us make sure we have enough materials on hand for everyone who
   attends.
   2.
