[Frameworks] Question about external frame counter to connect to camera

Dear Frameworkers,

Do you have experience using specific devices to count frames shot with
Super 8 cameras? I'm shooting time-lapse and need to be quite precise. As
you know, the footage counter in cameras such as the Braun Nizo 801 or
Canon 1014 XLS isn't very precise. I've seen some external digital counters
(like this one) <https://images.app.goo.gl/ZpenfLjQf6rfqiNx8>, but I've
never used anything like them. I assume with a 2.5 mini jack input they
should be able to connect to the camera. I can get something custom made by
a friend with a sensor and an electronic counter, but I just wanted to
double check with you first in case there's something already available
that can do the magic...
