Hi ,
A friend of mine once custom made this frame counter that worked on all super8 cameras with a mini jack. It can only be switched on an there is only a reset button. Very basic.

If I look at the digital counter you refer to, buying such a device is not a bad deal at all. And if that does not work you can always send it back.

Onderwerp: [Frameworks] Question about external frame counter to connect to camera
Dear Frameworkers,
Do you have experience using specific devices to count frames shot with Super 8 cameras? I'm shooting time-lapse and need to be quite precise. As you know, the footage counter in cameras such as the Braun Nizo 801 or Canon 1014 XLS isn't very precise. I've seen some external digital counters (like this one)<https://images.app.goo.gl/ZpenfLjQf6rfqiNx8>, but I've never used anything like them. I assume with a 2.5 mini jack input they should be able to connect to the camera. I can get something custom made by a friend with a sensor and an electronic counter, but I just wanted to double check with you first in case there's something already available that can do the magic...
Cheers from Taiwan,
