Hi filmmakers on this cc list, although I am no longer at Canyon I am still
programming films for the Havana Film Festival's Experimental Film Section
from Northern America.

This festival takes place during the first 12 days in December. I
introduced the Festival to experimental filmmaking in 2006 by presenting my
own work.

Since then I have covered the History of Experimental Cinema in the US from
1939. This year I would like to feature various filmmakers whose work we
have
not presented. The Festival and I are interested in showing your films if
they
exist on digital formats and you do not mind exhibiting in that gauge. Alas
I cannot present celluloid due to risks at
customs and there are no 16mm projectors that still function in Havana.

Can you let me know if your current work is available and is possible to
present down
there. I can send you the details once you contact me. I am sure they will
be well represented, etc.

I need films that are not dependent upon English Dialogue and not
feature length.

The films are not in competition so there is no entry fee, applications or
awards. The selection is determined by myself and the Cuban curator.

If your film is selected I may ask for for a small donation to help with
travel expenses since I have to pay my own way to Havana and the festival
cannot pay for my travel, time nor room and board. I do not receive any
funds from anyone for puting together these showings.

Attached is a copy of the catalog section from last year's festival.
Thanks

Thanks much.
